Gi care

Keep your gi clean. Respect your training partners

Your Infinity gi should always arrive at class clean and dry. Proper care keeps it hygienic, comfortable and helps it last longer.

Wash regularly

Keep your gi fresh and ready for every class. Wash it whenever needed after training and always make sure it is completely clean and dry before wearing it again.

Wash cold

Cold water helps protect the fabric and reduces shrinking.

Use mild detergent

Avoid fabric softener and harsh products that may damage the fabric.

Air-dry only

Never put your Infinity gi in the tumble dryer.

Dry completely

Make sure your gi is completely dry before storing it or putting it in your training bag.

Check its condition

Regularly check for tears, loose stitching or damage and repair them before training.

Never put your gi in the dryer

Heat can shrink the gi and weaken the fabric. Always air-dry it.

FAQs

Common student questions

What should I bring to training?
For your Free Intro Class, comfortable sports clothes and water are all you need — we'll provide a trial uniform. Once enrolled, students train in the full Infinity uniform.
What uniform do I need?
Students train in the full Infinity uniform: a clean white Infinity gi, the correct belt and rash guard.
Can parents watch?
Parents are always welcome to watch.
Do I have to compete?
No. Competition is optional and can be part of a student's personal development, but it does not define the academy or the Jiu-Jitsu journey.
How do stripes and belts work?
For children and adult white belts, every 20 completed classes earns one stripe. After four stripes, the next progression is the next belt. Progress also reflects consistent participation, discipline and appropriate behaviour on the mats. Belt progression beyond adult white belt is based on technical development, experience and Professor assessment.
How much is membership?
€80/month · 2 classes per week.
What happens if my child doesn't follow the class rules?
Children are given guidance and several warnings when necessary. If repeated behaviour continues, the class may not count towards their next stripe. This is intended as a positive lesson in discipline and responsibility. We encourage parents not to put pressure on children about stripes or individual classes and to allow progression to develop naturally through consistent training.
What if I miss a class?
If you miss a class, just speak with the Professor or send us a message and we'll help you stay on track with your training.

Anything not covered here, just ask us — no question is too small.
